Hereford House in Independence

Their food is excellent the steks especially. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and for $15 we got 4 shrimp So I think the portioning could be better on the appetizer for the price. Service was excellent the waiter was very friendly

We were surprised to find that they only put a fork and butter knife......until my steak arrived!! I literally cut it with my butter knife, and it sliced as if it were going through butter. Sooooo delicious!!! My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak, and it was HUGE!! His only complaint was that there was a lot of breading, and it didn't reheat very well.Our waiter was fairly new, but he was very attentive. We took dessert home, but it was yummy!

Food was excellent. Wasn't impressed with our waiter. I know it's Valentine's day and they were little busier than normal, but we felt like we are invisible when it came to our server.it was kind of unfortunate because it was our first time as a married couple enjoying a Valentine's together.We have been there many times before without issue.

Love Herford house any other day. I ordered a steak and was told by my excellent server to cut into and make sure it was right (I like mine medium well) and it was medium rare. She took it back for them to cook it some more..... THEY BURNT MY STEAK! and it still was medium rare on the inside.

Tenderloin Oscar!! Medium rare perfection. Garlic mashed potatoes not only beautiful, but delicious. Dirty martini was very well done, thank you Crystal.

I had dinner there, about 1 month ago. Have never eaten there before. It was a seminar discussing retirees. I had roasted chicken, & mash potatoes, very nice. Service was quick , friendly.

I was traveling with a group of people for business and it was decided to eat at Hereford House because it was close to the hotel and we had heard good things. The food was good, but as a vegetarian, my options were really limited. I did find a potato dish and a side salad on the menu, and did not walk away hungry. The atmosphere was nice. The service was friendly. I would eat here again if I was with a group, but it wouldn't be my choice. Only because of the limited selection for vegetarians. If you are a hard core vegan, I think you would really have a hard time finding something to eat here.

For such an expensive place I was just not impressed! I had a better tasting steak at wafflehouses today. The bathrooms were immaculate. Too bad I wasn't paying for those per se. The steak wasn't nasty but it was bland. Tasteless. Not worth $33. I think one time to try it was enough. Still haven't found that perfect steak.

Matt is a very knowledgeable server. Food was perfection. I can't wait to come back!

Okay steakhouse in Independence. The service and atmosphere were top notch. Ricky our server, did a GREAT job taking care of our party of 10. The prices are standard for dinner steakhouses. Was a little disappointed with the quality of meat(cowboy ribeye). Overall, experience was fine.

Chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes get it, and you’ll thank me later. Incredible every time.

We had prime rib and chicken picatta, dinner for 2. Chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. Prime rib was amazing.

The best wings I've ever had. The buffalo chicken sandwich is great. Awesome carrot cake. Pretty expensive but worth it for an occasional nice date night or go during happy hour and you can fill up on awesome food for a reasonable price.

Here from out of town and made reservations.Short wait to get our table. Server was prompt and polite. Appetizers and drinks came quickly. I had the ribeye and my wife had the prime rib. 200$ meal with tip. Exactly what we were looking for. The food was great and exceeded expectations. For desert, I had the cheese cake and my wife had the brownie, both were good and I was impressed with the service. I’ve had cheese cake all over the world. While I didn’t care for the crust, the cheesecake was superb.Pleasantly surprised with the service level. Would happily eat here again if we were in the area. Recommend.

Me and my fiancé came to eat here on Saturday evening. We have a 1 year old and a 5 year old and we very rarely ever treat ourselves to date nights. We LOVED our food. It was absolutely amazing. Our service was less than desirable. Our drinks we ordered took forever to come out. We felt like we were a bother, and noticed a difference in the way she talked to us verses the way she talked to another table right by us. It was very rude and unpleasant. We would’ve loved to give a better review, and a better tip at that, but this kind of ruined our dinner for us. Food was perfect. Just wish we could’ve enjoyed it more.

Awesome steakburgers. Build your own and add a Caesar salad for $2. Always cooks my steak to perfection.

I have zero complaints. Waitress we had was very good, and the food was as well. Everything came out quickly and was exactly as ordered. Drinks stayed full and I didn't have to wait a long time for the check (which is my biggest pet peeve).

We love hanging out. Last night we went to this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a beautiful experience there with high-qulity dishes and a nice stuff and a professional chef. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we shall certainly come back soon. We deeply recommend.

We can see that both cooks and wait staff wear masks and cooks wear gloves. The food is awesome. They have the best veggies selections!

Service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Everything came out in a timely manner and our waitress checked on us just enough to make sure we're doing okay, but not so much it was distracting. The food tasted very good, nothing was under or over seasoned. I highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip!

Just had the BEST meal. Sunday special, 10oz Prime Rib that melts in your mouth and enough for two meals. Mashed patatoes, salad,dinner rolls and dessert. Job well done.

Hereford House was attached to the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a nice bar and restaurant. Happy hour food prices were amazing and bar staff very friendly. Had a special Eclipse drink with a cranberry ice cube ball and the Bloody Mary made with their special "garden vodka" was super. The goat cheese with fruit appetizer was wonderful. The 5oz Filet Oscar with green beans and ultra whipped mashed potato was only $14.

While this place definitely caters to an older crowd, the food and drink menu is spectacular. I had a craft cocktail from their seasonal menu and my wife and I did the 4 course meal for $75. It's a wonderful deal for that much food.

I constantly stop purchasing some food in here. I love the swift customer service and well made food. 5 stars from me.

First, I have to majorly compliment the staff. Excellent suggestions, personable, attentive, and very professional. The food was amazing and I eat 4/5 star steaks often. Mushrooms and filet mignon were perfect in every way. The bread pudding is unique and very very good. Top it off with a house whiskey cocktail, and I will be back, 600 miles away or not.

Second time I’ve ordered the Steak Dijon. Asked how I wanted it cooked and requested Medium. Both times, it was rare and the best solution they offered was to put it ‘back on the grill’. It came back chewy and inedible. I also didn’t receive my side item until I asked for it. Once is a mistake; twice is a pattern. I wouldn’t go back if they paid me.

The restaurant was had very nice decor. The waiting staff was great. The Caesar salad was ok. I ordered the 12oz ribeye medium and was was served almost well done. It had no flavor, luckily I asked for some steak sauce. My wife ordered the turkey club sandwich, which she enjoyed. I was very disappointed on this visit.

They were able to accommodate our large group and we were able to visit and get caught up with family. The wide variety of choices provided something for everyone. Food and service were great.

The Staff was so friendly, our server Ross was on point. And Chef Mike is an outstanding Chef! Everyone should give Hereford house a try ... worth it.

Service is great the entrees are small and over priced ,but the main dishes are good portions the atmosphere is cool like a luxury wild West

Moderate price but big portions of excellent prepared and highest quality food the wait staff is very attentive with their responsibilities always smiles on their faces and will treat you as you are thier most important customer if I could give higher then 5 stars I would I'm a coach driver and was up here with the hockey team I ordered the chicken fried steak with potatoes and a side salad plus my drink came to a little or 27 dollars but was more food then this 6'5 380lb man could eat if ever here again it will be my pleasure to visit your establishment again very well done

We came fairly early on Valentine's Day and the restaurant filled up fast..the service was excellent and so was the food...it was as good an experience as we have always found it to be. When we left there was probably at least 60 people in the foyer waiting to be seated.

Service is amazing. Food is well worth the money. Atmosphere is cozy. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful food and service. I was able to grab drinks from the bar for my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and enjoy a sit down meal there. Our server was very attentive, polite and prompt. He welcomed us well and helped us both feel at ease.Ordered the Cobb salad and the chicken was cooked well. Moist and tender. Every detail we asked was executed so I really appreciate the service and care.

Food was fantastic!Service/waitress were awesome!Almost all staff was wearing a mask, which in these times is what you want to see.That is all staff but 1 was wearing a mask. He kept coming out from the back to talk to another staff member. Not good!This is why 4/5 🌟

I've only been there twice. First time had steak. It was lukewarm and bland, not enough seasoning. .then I had the meatloaf, it appears to be grilled. It wasn't bad but again lukewarm food. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, very goodThe waiter was good other than he was quick to take my plate away when I was still eating my asparagus. For the price and quality of food isn't impeccable that I've had. I won't go back.

My aunt and I ate at Hereford House tonight. We got the two for $75 dinner deal. The spinach and artichoke dip was wonderful. I always love the salads with the pink and yellow dressing. My steak you could cut with a fork. Gary was our waiter and he took great care of us.

Very good food. Service was prompt but not as friendly as in the past. It's a little pricey but the quality is very good. Nice place for a special occasion.

The restaurant was recommended by a local hotel staff and the food was so amazing from start to finish I wanted to advise the staffer to always recommend it to her guests!
